Environmental Solutions Sales Specialist
Position Overview:
The Environmental Solutions Sales Specialist is responsible for driving business growth by providing clients with effective and sustainable environmental solutions. This role focuses on identifying customer needs related to emissions control, energy efficiency, and regulatory compliance — and delivering customized products or systems that align with those goals.
The Sales Specialist serves as a trusted advisor to customers, leveraging technical expertise and industry knowledge to recommend the right air pollution control equipment, upgrades, and services. Working closely with engineering, operations, and project management teams, this position ensures customer satisfaction from initial consultation through project completion.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with industrial and commercial clients, understanding their environmental and operational challenges.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue sales opportunities in air pollution control, energy recovery, and other environmental solutions.
- Conduct site visits, assessments, and consultations to determine appropriate products or system recommendations.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop accurate proposals, technical quotations, and solution packages.
- Present technical solutions and value propositions to decision-makers at all organizational levels.
- Track sales activities, pipeline, and performance metrics using CRM tools.
- Stay informed on environmental regulations, sustainability trends, and emerging technologies impacting client needs.
- Achieve or exceed annual sales goals and contribute to overall business growth.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of Air Pollution Control sales and or applications engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or related field preferred but not required.
- Compensation includes a base salary commensurate with experience, along with a fixed commission structure
- Proven history in technical or environmental solution sales.
- Strong understanding of environmental compliance standards (e.g., EPA, air quality regulations).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into customer value.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, site visits, and industry events.
