Environmental Solutions Sales Specialist – RTO Aftermarket Services
Position Overview:
The Environmental Solutions Sales Specialist is responsible for driving business growth by providing clients with effective and sustainable environmental solutions, with a strong emphasis on Aftermarket Services for Regenerative Thermal Oxidizers (RTOs) and other air pollution control systems. This role focuses on identifying customer needs related to emissions control, system reliability, energy efficiency, and regulatory compliance—delivering customized aftermarket solutions that extend equipment life and maximize performance.
The Sales Specialist serves as a trusted advisor to customers, leveraging technical expertise and industry knowledge to recommend RTO service programs, retrofits, upgrades, rebuilds, and replacement components. Working closely with engineering, operations, and project management teams, this position ensures customer satisfaction and long-term value from initial consultation through ongoing lifecycle support.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with industrial and commercial clients, understanding their environmental, operational, and RTO-specific aftermarket needs.
• Identify, qualify, and pursue sales opportunities related to RTO aftermarket services, including preventative maintenance, inspections, rebuilds, retrofits, parts replacement, and system upgrades.
• Conduct site visits, system assessments, and consultations to determine appropriate aftermarket solutions for installed RTO systems.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop accurate proposals, technical quotations, and service or upgrade solution packages.
• Present technical solutions and aftermarket value propositions to decision-makers at all organizational levels.
• Track sales activities, installed-base opportunities, pipeline, and performance metrics using CRM tools.
• Stay informed on environmental regulations, emissions standards, and evolving technologies impacting RTO operation and compliance.
• Develop and deliver competitive sales quotations aligned with customer requirements.
• Translate customer needs into detailed quotes to support sales negotiations and close opportunities.
• Achieve or exceed annual sales goals and contribute to overall business growth, with a strong focus on recurring aftermarket revenue.
Qualifications:
• 3–5 years of Air Pollution Control sales and/or applications engineering experience, preferably involving RTO systems or aftermarket services.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or related field preferred but not required.
• Compensation includes a base salary commensurate with experience, along with a fixed commission structure.
• Proven history in technical, environmental, or service-focused solution sales.
• Strong understanding of environmental compliance standards (e.g., EPA, air quality regulations).
• Working knowledge of Regenerative Thermal Oxidizers, including combustion, heat recovery, and system performance considerations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear customer value.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with HubSpot is a plus.
• Ability and willingness to travel for client meetings, site visits, and industry events.
