Shipping/Receiving Assistant

Established in 1996, Kono Kogs, Inc. is a privately owned company recognized as the world’s leading supplier of preowned thermal oxidizer systems. Our company’s mission is to make air pollution control more affordable by offering quality, new and refurbished thermal, catalytic, and regenerative thermal oxidizers to our clients to meet their stringent air permit regulations.

As a result of recent growth, our company is looking to add an Shipping/Receiving Assistant position to our team! KKI provides a casual and flexible working environment and a terrific opportunity to get on board with a growing company.

Position Overview:

The Shipping/Receiving Assistant supports the daily operations of the shipping and receiving department to ensure materials, parts, and finished goods are accurately received, organized, and shipped in a timely manner. This position plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring proper documentation, and helping keep the warehouse area clean, safe, and efficient.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

This position reports to: Logistics & Equipment Manager

This is a part-time position.

Responsibilities:

• General material handling
• Shipping and receiving
  
  • Verifying quantities
  • Labeling shipments
  • Receiving shipments into QuickBooks
  • Palletizing/crating or parts and equipment
  • Delivering/sorting/tracking inventory or:
    
    • Assembly and Fabrication consumables
    • Flanges
    • Steel (Sheet/structural/etc.)
• Maintaining yard inventory
  
  • Straps tight
  • Tarps secured/in good position
  • Labeling parts/ensuring labels are intact
• Loading/unloading heavy equipment
  
  • Rigging
  • Lifting
  • Forklift

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Familiarity with basic inventory control practices and documentation.
• Ability to safely operative forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
