REECO RL RTO for Fiberglass Manufacturer

Case study: Kono Kogs installed a gently-used REECO RTO at a fiberglass manufacturing facility for a planned expansion, providing a cost-effective solution.
Problem
This manufacturer reached out to Kono Kogs for an RTO solution to manage emissions generated by a planned expansion in production capacity. The facility already operated an existing RTO, but increasing production would exceed its available capacity. To accommodate the additional process exhaust, a portion of the production fumes was identified for transfer to a new emissions control system. The customer sought a cost-effective refurbished RTO option capable of handling the required process airflow while meeting environmental compliance requirements, integrating with existing ductwork and facility infrastructure, and minimizing disruption to ongoing plant operations.
Solution
Kono Kogs provided a refurbished REECO RL regenerative thermal oxidizer (RTO) with 15,000 SCFM capacity and a thermal efficiency rate (TER) of 95%. As this unit was not run for long before being shut down, the overall condition of the unit was almost new and many components were able to be reused. The unit already had an electric drive and the media was very clean.
REECO RLs are well-built units with a small footprint. The controls for these RTOs are in a climate-controlled control house mounted on the RTO skid which provides simplicity and great reliability.
REECO RL systems are designed to provide one of the lowest utility costs (fuel & electric) and reliability of any leading oxidizer system. It includes a state-of-the-art pneumatic, single-drive rotary valve that provides minimal pressure fluctuations and VOC spikes while changing positions.
KKI has successfuly installed and commissioned multiple REECO RLs throughout the United States and they're one of our more popular units due to the robustness of the system and the smooth operation of the maintenance-friendly rotary valve. Our engineering team has extensive knowledge of the requirements and standards needed to implement a successful RTO system in a variety of manufacturing facilities.

What helps control quality, timelines, and cost?
Vertical Integration: We are vertically integrated, meaning we are able to design, fabricate, assemble, ship, install, and commission your oxidizer system with our people, and install it anywhere in the USA. No third parties. Just our talented fabrication team forming and assembling the innovatively simple RTO design, controlling quality, and timelines. Our in-house fabrication capability also benefits our customer's bottom line as there are no "middle-man" mark-ups for fabrication work. And throughout the project it is our team communicating seamlessly with our partner's team to accomplish a successful project, on time and on budget. Our on-site crews are our crews, led by our crew leaders, at the direction of our project engineer, working in partnership with your team. All with the high-level safety training and insurance coverage you should expect from your suppliers.
