Refurbished Regenerative Thermal Oxidizers (RTOs)

A regenerative thermal oxidizer, also known in the industry as an RTO

Regenerative thermal oxidizers (RTO) are the technology of choice today for controlling volatile organic compound and hazardous air pollutant emissions in manufacturing processes.

Regenerative thermal oxidizers have a heat recovery (efficiency) of 95% typically. This technology has the lowest operating cost of all thermal oxidizer systems – not to mention the longest service life and highest reliability.

Warrantied, refurbished RTOs & service plans

Kono Kogs sells used regenerative thermal oxidizers fully refurbished with a parts and performance warranty. With additional services like preventative maintenance plans and emergency repairs, you’ll get the most from your investment through a partnership with Kono Kogs.

Why regenerative thermal oxidation?

Regenerative thermal oxidizers (RTO) are the technology of choice today for controlling volatile organic compound (VOC) and hazardous air pollutant (HAP) emissions in manufacturing processes. RTOs achieve the highest VOC destruction with the lowest operating cost, highest reliability and longest life relative to other thermal oxidizer technologies. However, RTOs are heavy systems compared to thermal oxidizers and catalytic oxidizers.

RTO Installation & Ductwork Treating Flexographic Printing Emissions

The Problem

A printer of food packaging utilizing flexographic printing presses was adding production capacity to serve their growing market share. Flexographic emissions include alcohols and acetates in their emission airstream. Standard RTO designs can provide 98-99% VOC destruction with ease, and RTOs in this application can have long life if designed properly.
